  7. Please read the RUNNER.TXT file for more details -- this help file 
  8. does not cover everything about Runner, only some of the less 
  9. obvious stuff you might have trouble remembering at first.

  12. RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON:
  13.  
  14. 1) From Runner's main screen, takes you to the top level menu.
  15. 2) In the Add/Change dialogue box, it exits the same as Return.
  16. 3) In file view it exits back to the file selector.

  19. ALTERNATE KEY:
  20.  
  21. 1) When Runner starts to load, hold down to prevent a picture from
  22.    loading.
  23. 2) Hold down when selecting a new palette to use the new colors
  24.    for running programs AND the background picture.
  25. 3) Hold down when selecting a file that would otherwise activate
  26.    an installed application to simply view the file.

  29. ADD/CHANGE DIALOGUE BOX:
  30.  
  31. 1) Press Return or right mouse button to exit and keep changes.
  32. 2) Press Esc key to clear the description.  If no description is 
  33.    entered, programs use their default description (filename with 
  34.    no extension).  Menus are not added or changed by Esc key.

  37. KEYBOARD EQUIVALENTS (from main screen)
  38.  
  39.   HELP - activiates Item Selector
  40.   UNDO - exits RUNNER (verified by prompt first)
  41.   INSERT, RIGHT ARROW or RETURN - same as left mouse button
  42.   CLR HOME - same as right mouse button
  43.   LEFT ARROW - moves up to preceding list, attempts exit from top
  44.   UP/DOWN ARROWS - move mouse up and down within lists; move 
  45.     backward and forward through pages in file view
  46.   TAB - Toggles between display of only programs/menus for 
  47.     current res or all programs/menus (those not intended for 
  48.     current res are preceded by a circle with "R" in it 
  49.     ("registered" symbol) as a RES warning
  50.  
  51.   Menu bar area: Use the upper case letter in each item to select 
  52.   it from the keyboard.  Individual desk accessories cannot be 
  53.   chosen this way.  Example: L for Load Config, G for backGround.

  63. MOUSE SHAPES
  64.  
  65. 1) Pointing Hand: You've been in the GEM menu bar area; clicking 
  66.    on a menu item normally returns hand to arrow.  If you choose 
  67.    not to select a menu item, click once away from selectables.
  68. 2) Busy Bee: Patience please.  File loading or color change delay.
  69. 3) Arrow: Normal mode, anything can be selected.
